In the seaside town there is a completely unique pharmacy "Placebo." It is possible not just to buy pills or medicines, but to get a prescription and to cure the disease with the help of... tango, extreme sports, poetry writing, theatre, learning Chinese or even using the game on the stock exchange! Apothecary takes a young boy in his apprentice, who is brought up by a single mother with quirks. It would seem that it is difficult for a boy to come up with a better fate: the Pharmacist has diplomas from Oxford and Cambridge, the Wolf and Leiden Prizes. But begins a magical game in which the hero will meet a woman with a dog's head, throw the dice of fate and get acquainted with the society of real cavaliers of the pharmacy!
