The book of the doctor of historical sciences, Professor Victor Berlinsky, created in a rare genre of "oral history", is devoted to the daily life of the Russian village in the 20th century. It contains unique information about life, mores, family structure, folk holidays, preserved or emerged after the October Revolution. The author for more than twenty-five years recorded the stories of peasants and, thus, collected a unique material, fixing a look at the village life of the natives of the departing Russian peasant culture.
