The collection is the first result of the project "People's Leaders 1918-1922." The collection includes both research articles and documentary publications, which were introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. It reflects the modern level of understanding of the problem of armed participation of Russian peasantry in the vicissitudes of the Civil War. The collection contains both articles on the source and ideology of the multi-directional insurgency, as well as regional studies, based mainly on unpublished sources. Among the authors of the publication are Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian experts. Significant territorial coverage, attention to movements of different political overtones, represent extensive material for comparison, general and special in the guerrilla and insurgency of the peasantry during the Civil War.
