Brief annotation
The collection includes three works: the novella "Notes from the Underground" (1864), "Eternal Husband" (1870) and the story "Bobok" (1873).
"Notes from the Underground" is probably the most prophetic of all Dostoevsky's works. In it, the writer in many ways foreshadowed the ideas of the 20th century, including the prose of Camus and Sartre, for the first time showed that the irraccianal, incomprehensible beginning can be more significant and powerful than reason.
"Eternal Husband" is an amazing psychological portrait of a cheated husband, tormented by the most contradictory feelings: anger at the late wife, love for their common child and desire to vent his anger on him, hatred for the abuser who seduced his wife, and good feelings for a man who once was his friend.
"Bobok" is an evil satire, ridiculing in a grotesque form human vices, which can not eradicate even death.
