Revizor - Gogol' Nikolai Vasil'evich

Included in this collection "The Auditor" and "Marriage" are two wonderful satirical comedies gogol, two masterpieces of classical Russian comedy, for almost a century and a half not coming from the best scenes of our country and repeatedly screened.
What makes these works relevant? Isn't that the types so brilliantly described by Gogol - snatched lazy officials, provincial nouvorishi and their ridiculously pretending to the capital's chic daughters, cowardly suitors, not ready to part with bachelor shares, and glib pushy fist-slacks - often meet us now?
