The work of Alexei Tolstoy is truly multifaceted: master of sci-fi prose, creator of the beloved fairy tale "Golden Key", author of the epic "Walking through the torments" and numerous stories, stories and plays. The key, uniting the variety of subjects, in Tolstoy's work was the theme of Russia. The novel "Peter the First" is the best example of the genre of historical novel in Soviet literature.
