The book includes works by F. M. Dostoyevsky, created at the very beginning of his career: the debut novel "Poor People", which overnight made the author famous, as well as the novels "White Nights" and "The Non-Neven." These works were written before the "catastrophe" of 1849, when the young writer for his participation in the circle of Petrashevsky was exiled to the hard labors of Siberia, where he spent about ten years.
