The new book of the series is dedicated to the blockade of Leningrad - one of the most terrifying pages of the Great Patriotic War. Now it is difficult to imagine the hardships suffered by the inhabitants of the city on the Neve and the courage of its defenders. The capture of Leningrad was part of the Barbarossa plan, which envisaged a complete defeat of the Soviet Union in 3 to 4 months. But these plans were not destined to come true. The Soviet people bravely met the enemy. For 900 days and nights they held back fascist troops. The book uses documents, statistics and photos, many of them are published for the first time.
