Paul Verlaine (1844-1896) - the outstanding French poet-lyricist of the 19th century, one of the founders of literary impressionism and symbolism. In this edition Verlaine is presented in translations of major Russian poets of the Silver Age: V. Bruce, Inn. Annensky, F. Sologuba, B. Pasternak, etc. The book opens with a foreword by M. Voloshin and ends with a critical-biographical essay by V. Bruceov. This edition includes selected poems from twelve books by Paul Verlaine. Information about the translation activities of Russian poets, whose works are presented on these pages, are given.
