"Words" (1964) is an autobiographical novel by Jean Paul Sartre. The author speaks candidly about his childhood, family and friends, about the first acquaintance with books and the gradual understanding of his vocation to become a writer: "I have found my religion: the book began to seem to me more important than anything else in the world."
