Basni - Ezop

The legendary Greek philosopher Aesop is considered one of the first masters of the ancient literary genre; his laconic, wise, witty fables, whose subjects were used by famous fable painters, translated into many languages of the world and repeatedly retold. Possessing figurative thinking and sharp language, the ancient writer created an artistic world in which the heroes are animals, birds and even plants, and morality is presented through allegation.
The edition included the best fables, as well as "The Biography of Aesop", illustrated by the works of famous artists Ernest Grise and Francis Barlow.
