On his own poems wrote "Christmas toys", based on fairy tales - "Child and magic" and "Mother-goose." "Tales of Mother Goose" (1908) was originally a four-handed piano series dedicated to Mimi and Jean Godebsky, the children of the composer's closest friends. The music of the cycle formed the basis of the ballet, staged in 1912 at the Theatre of Arts under the name "The Dream of Florina". A luxurious, colorful score paints the heroes of famous children's fairy tales.
