Robert Bloch - the famous American writer, author of two dozen novels and hundreds of stories, a successful film and TV screenwriter, the owner of a number of prestigious literary awards. The first novel of the Bloch trilogy about Norman Bates, written half a century ago, formed the basis of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller "Psychosis" (1960) and gave life to the new cult "monster" of modern Western culture. The famous picture of Hitchcock, which was one of the greatest films of all time, brought to life several sequels and a huge number of imitations, becoming one of the most frequently cited films in the world cinema.
