Ditia vo vremeni - Mak'iuen Ien

Ian McEwan is one of the "ruling triumvirate" of contemporary British prose (along with Julian Barnes and Martin Amis), winner of the Booker Prize for the novel "Amsterdam". Children's writer Stephen Lewis just out of the supermarket suddenly and inexplicably disappears three-year-old daughter. This loss turns over Stephen's life, clearly demonstrating to him that his daughter was the only meaning of his life. Steven's personal drama unfolds against the backdrop of the incessant flow of time, which began a strange struggle with the main character. Only gradually Steven realizes that not man owns his time, but time reigns over people - the time of conception and the time of birth, the time of growth and the time of adulthood, in short - time as a mysterious, not personified and omnipotent force, which is impossible to hold, but which can be tried only to overcome by overcoming itself.
