Poliarnye konvoi - Kuznetsov

One of the most interesting pages in the history of the Second World War is the epic of polar convoys, "the northern saga of heroism, courage and endurance." Its heroes were military and commercial sailors of the USSR and countries participating in the anti-Hitler coalition. The Arctic route delivered military equipment and weapons, ammunition and food from the United States via land-lease to Soviet ports. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of these deliveries in the approach of victory.
