Giv'at ha-sea is the fourth book in the Solomon Maimon Legacy series. So the author called his commentary to "The Guide of the Confused" belonging to the pen of his spiritual teacher Maimonid (1135-1204).

The uniqueness of this work is that Solomon Maimon reads one of the most prominent treatises of the Middle Ages, in which an attempt is made to deeply synthesize the Jewish tradition with aristothelism, through the prism of philosophical and scientific achievements of the 18th century.

Translator Uri Gershovich is a Ph.D. fellow at the International Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
