Isaak Babel' v istoricheskom i literatur. kontekste

Researchers from Russia and seven foreign countries took part in the collection on the results of the International Scientific Conference, timed to coincide with the 120th anniversary of the birth of I. E. Babel. A special section is devoted to "Conarmia": discusses textual problems, the composition of the cycle, characters, the controversy around the army stories. The book discusses the poetics, interpretation, intertext and reception of the writer's works. Articles about Babel's connections with literary contemporaries have been placed. The works on the South Russian literary school and the history of the Odessa Commercial School, which Babel graduated from, are presented. Material about the creative path of one of the first Soviet evangelicals L. Y. Livshitz allows to pay tribute to all those who stood at the origins of this field of literary science. The book is addressed to specialists - philologists, historians, as well as all those who are interested in Russian literature of the 20th centuries.
