The monograph, which is based on the materials of the lecture course, which for a number of years was read to Spanish students, future historians and philologists, summarizes the main periods of the country's history in the Westgoth era (beginning V - beginning 8th century), which began the settlement of barbaric peoples on the lands of the Iberian Peninsula and ended with the Muslim conquest.
