"Ethnogenesis and the biosphere of the Earth" is a fundamental work of L.N. Gumilev, dedicated to the problem of the emergence and relationship of ethnic groups on Earth. Exploring the dynamics of the movement of peoples, in search of their historical identity coming into conflicts with the environment, Gumilev collected and processed a huge amount of scientific and cultural data. In this unique book, which the author considered his main work, the main provisions of the theory of ethnogenesis developed by L.N. Gumilev and the doctrine of passionarism are formulated and detailed.
