The Vietnam War has just ended. The American government agency Monarch assembles a team of specialists for a scientific expedition. At first glance, the task seems simple: to make a map of a hitherto unexplored island in the South Pacific and to take geological samples. True, the area of research is notorious for a record number of missing ships and planes, and the island itself has long had a very ominous name. And yet, who could have imagined that the appearance of people on skull Island would awaken unknown gigantic forces of nature, and a peaceful expedition would turn into a war of man and monster? The war is not for life, but for death...
