Strange August turned out to be August for the inhabitants of a small North American town: every now and then white petals fall from the sky, the temperature in summer suddenly drops by a dozen degrees, at noon crackporcelain plates, at midnight roses bloom, and in an abandoned a house on the site where they want to build a new shopping center, alarm lights flash. They say that these are the antics of the ghost, which hosts this land and intends to prevent the construction, because there are old Indian burials. And if a ghost is something ephemeral, the interference is very real. The developer makes a complaint to the police, and the local detective has no choice but to postpone important cases and deal with this trifsable problem. But as the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that in this house, on this piece of land, in this quiet unknown town, something incredible and incomprehensible is really happening, and all the threads lead to a brutal crime committed seventy years ago...
