Miss Marple still does not sit quietly in her cozy home in the village of St. Mary Meade. This time she decided to participate in the fate of her old friend Carrie-Louise. The fact is that, according to the firm belief of their mutual friend, Ruth van Rydok, the unfortunate is threatened with death from poisoning. There is no evidence, but Mrs. van Rydock is convinced of the seriousness of the threat. Arriving at the house of Carrie-Louise and her husband, Miss Marple found there their large relatives, very difficult in terms of relationships.
