The fourth in a series of color collections by Andrew Lang, "Yellow Book of Tales" under the colorful cover conceals Russian, French, Hungarian, Icelandic and even Indian fairy tales.

Fascinating stories about princes and princesses, witches, fairies and dragons were put together and translated into English by Andrew Lang and fellow pen, and for the Russian reader they were translated with valor by Julia Fokina.

Traditionally, the unique illustrations for the collection were created by Henry Justice Ford.
