While all the penguins around are engaged in their usual "penguin" affairs, Chilli da Vinci - a desperate inventor - designs a cunning aircraft. Immediately nothing comes out, the plane does not want to take off, but Chilli is not discouraged. A sense of humor and the power of imagination help him to go to his cherished goal.
Jarrett Rutland loves to invent and draw comics. Back in kindergarten, he and his best friend drew a book about vampires. And in college, Jarrett worked on a whole series of comics. Today, vampires no longer inspire Rutland, he is working on comics about his grandfather, and also about a samurai penguin. Jarrett Rutland lives in North Carolina with his wife, son and black dog.
"Chilli da Vinci's Penguin" is a story about self-belief and the victory of inspiration over the ordinary.
