"Life in Ballet" is a memoir similar to the biblical saga of the legendary Plisetsk-Messerer dynasty; the history of the artistic clan against the background of revolutions, wars, arrests and theatrical premieres, written by the youngest of the family, Azaria Mihajlovic Plisetsky. Before the eyes of the reader is a golden age of Russian and world ballet: the great Galina Ulanova, the legendary creator of the Cuban ballet Alicia Alonso, the French choreographer Maurice Bejar, the magnificent Mikhail Baryshnikov and, of course, the author's older sister - the demonic and irresistibly beautiful Maya Plisetskaya. In a sense, his brother's book is written in controversy with his sister's memoirs. We open another version of known events: the eyes like changing optics, there is a new angle, the frame is enlarged.
