""Blood and MUDO" is a modern Pluto novel. In the provincial city of Kovyazin, young teachers of MUDO, the former House of Pioneers, saving their institution from closure, arrange a scam: they portray that their summer camp is full of resting schoolchildren. The main character, philosopher and bonvivan Boris Morzhov, travels on the former mistresses-teachers, as Chichikov on the estates of landlords, and "sneezes" certificates - "dead souls" of non-existent inhabitants of the camp. And in the novel there are prostitutes, corrupt cops, corrupt officials, village drunks and many other people. But a fun novel formulates a very serious question: what is the right thing to be successful or to be authentic?"
