Tikhon Khrennikov (16+) - Kokarev A.I.

The outstanding Soviet composer Tikhon Hrennikov (1913-2007) was the author of many wonderful operas and ballets, symphonies, instrumental concerts; his songs were known and loved by the whole country. For more than forty years, from 1948 to 1991 (i.e. under six leaders of the Soviet state!), he was the permanent head of the Union of Soviet Composers - an unprecedented case in history in the neckofe of the country. And "under the wing" of Hrennikov musicians could feel more or less calm, because his authority in many ways mitigated the pressure of the authorities.
The author of the book with undisguised love writes about his hero. Based on the materials of the rich family archive, he covers previously unknown aspects of the composer's life and work, tells about his family, as well as his relationship with many prominent figures of the national culture.
