Images of heroines created by Tatiana Shmygoa (1928-2011) on the stage of the Moscow Operetta Theatre will never be forgotten. They are remembered for the performances of "The Violet of Montmartre," "The Kiss of Chanita," "The Circus Lights the Lights," "The Girl's Trouble," "My Fair Lady," "Catherine," "Julia" and many others. Operetta is a unique genre that requires the artist to sing like an opera singer, dance like a ballet soloist, play like a dramatic actor. At the same time to have an attractive appearance and irresistible charm. It is this alloy that gives birth to a prima donna. And the undisputed prima of the Russian operetta for many years was Tatiana Shmyga. In her book she told about the Theatre of operetta of the second half of the 20th century, about its ups and downs, about famous actors, among them Gerard Vasilyev, Alexander Gorelick, Vladimir Kandelaki... And of course about myself, my destiny and work, without which she simply could not live.
