The 1st volume is based on correspondence between Lila Yuryevna and Osip Maximovich Brick (289 letters and telegrams in total) of 1930-1937, when Lila Yuryevna, after the death of Vladimir Mayakovsky, was married to a Civil War hero, the legendary commander of the Chervon Cossacks, Vitaly Markovich Primakov (1896-1937), and traveled with him to the cities where he served: Sverdlovsk, Rostov-on-Don, Berlin, Leningrad. The publication uses unique materials from public and private archives, from rare editions.
