Nikolai Gumilev : spasenie v Afrike - Vol'pe M.L.

In the life of Nikolai Gumilev there were three main things: poetry, Africa and war. These classes are inextricably intertwined in his fate and creativity. He visited Ethiopia three times, once made a six-month trip to this distant country with scientific purposes on the instructions of the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Many poetic and prosaic works of one of the brightest representatives of the Silver Age of Russian poetry are inspired by impressions received during travels across the African continent. The book details the many things associated with Africa that defined the personality and life path of the poet.
