The most famous among the dynastic tragedies of this era is the story of Saints Boris and Gleb, killed by his older brother, Prince Sviatok. But there were other fratricidal conflicts between the princes of the Russians... Historian Dmitry Borovkov analyzes ancient Russian and Scandinavian sources, trying to compare the facts, recreate the political situation at that time, consider different opinions - and maybe get closer to the truth, who was right, who was to blame for those long-standing feuds. Similar conflicts in Scandinavia and the 'barbaric kingdoms' of early-medieval Europe are also being dealt with.
