Brief annotation
Roland Bykov (1929 - 1998) - director of theater and cinema, actor, teacher. He has eleven films (Aybolite - 66, Telegram, Car, Violin and Dog Klyaks, "Stranger Things" etc.), hundreds of film roles, the creation of the Children's Film and Television Foundation and an attempt to revive children's cinema in Russia of the nineties.
Roland Bykov's diaries "I'll Be Beaten - I'll Start Again!", published in 2010, became a bestseller. Book "Come on, sons!" (so shouted the commander of the guerrilla detachment Lokotkov in the film "Checking on the roads") became their logical continuation. It includes texts about theater and cinema, letters to directors, fellow actors and writers, memories of working with Andrei Tarkovsky, Nona Mordyukova, Mikhail Romm and many, many others.
The texts were collected and commented on by R.A. Bykov's widow Elena Sanaeva.
