This book is another attempt to unravel Brodsky and tell about his life and work, as well as about the life and work of three women whose fates intersected with the fate of the poet and Nobel laureate. Not dry literary studies, but living biographies, the author of which through analysis of the creativity of the characters tries to find an understanding of the spirit of the time and its embodiment in the figure and poetry of Brodsky. As it was written in a French magazine: "They say that if a person is poisoned with cyanide, he seems to us dead, but for about half an hour his eyes see him, ears hear, heart beats, brain works. Brodsky's poetry is, in a sense, a record of the thoughts of a man who committed suicide." The book also includes a review of the poetic play "Brodsky-Baryshnikov", illustrated by previously unknown drawings of the poet, rare photos and materials from the personal archives of the characters.
