The oral memoirs of the artist Eugenia Lang were recorded by Victor Duukin in 1969-1970. In them she details little-known pages from the life of Vladimir Mayakovsky and his circle - about the time when she was a friend, and later a companion and muse of the great poet (1917-1918). In addition, Lang shares stories from life in exile (in 1919 she went to Germany) and gives portraits of many famous people with whom she happened to meet in Europe: including Albert Einstein, Alexey Remizov, Rudolf Steiner, Andrei White and many others. The book was prepared by common place publishing house in conjunction with the Oral History Foundation and is timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Mayakovsky.
