This is the fifth book in the series about Bulgarian scout Emil Boev. But there is not a single word about him in this book. The narration comes from the account of Henry Thomas, a scout from an enemy camp, whom fate threw to Bulgaria. The reader gets acquainted with the history of Thomas' life, his childhood, personal life and professional activities. He works at the embassy as a cultural adviser. But his real interests are far from this work... The story known to readers of the 4th book "Requiem of the scoundrel" is told here from the other side. As always with the author, the narrative is dynamic and interesting.
